A month ago, PawPaw cooked this - Tomato Kway Teow. You can't find this in Singapore. Everytime I want to eat this dish, I have to go to Sarawak to eat it.
So when Pawpaw found the recipe for this, I was excited. With recipe, I can try to cook this when I have the craving.
I add a few other ingredients like chicken meat and squid.
Conclusion:
The taste of the gravy is very similiar.
However, there is something missing.
We finally agree that it's because I cook this in a non-stick pan.
And if you were to ask my brother, he will say it's my stove.
It's not powerful enough to give this recipe the umph.
You need to cook this with lots of oil (I used olive oil), big fire, and a good well-used wok.
But it still satisfy the craving.
So yes, I will be cooking this dish again on a Sunday dinner.
Reason? You need to cook and eat it immediately.
Thanks Pawpaw.
